We're conceding more than just about everyone at the moment!

I'm not a huge fan of stats, because taken in isolation, they can really be made to back up any point you want to make, but the long and the short of it is, we're simply conceding too many goals so far this season.

Having said that, if you do want to use the years average to make a comparison, we'd be winning these games 1.8-1.7.

If you look at it season by season, which is what counts at the end of the day, so far, Bilic has remained comfortably within Allardyce territory.

Allardyce's three PL seasons plus Slav's first.

2012/13 - GF: 45 GA: 53

2013/14 - GF: 40 GA: 51

2014/15 - GF: 44 GA: 47

2015/16 - GF: 65 GA: 51

In three seasons, Allardyce only managed to better Slav's figure once.

Not to forget that, for no discernible loss in defensive solidity, we scored almost 50% more goals than under Allardyce.

Still needs to sort it the fuck out this season, mind.

i couldn't give a fuck about the champions league so im not sure what point you're making. i know we're shipping goals for fun but how many threads do we need to tell us how shit we are at the moment? from now on i won't fucking bother commenting on any of these threads. it's about time i had some time away from this miserable fucking site

Good point.

We are conceding more than Villa and Stoke based on that!

Re: Most PL goals conceded in 2016
Is the whole of 2016 REALLY a relevant statistic?

That's 1.7 per game for this year so far.

If you take out the 5 games in this season, we only conceded 28 goals in 19 games - 1.4 per game.

So, the issue isn't really what we have conceded this calendar year, but what we have conceded this season - 2.6 per game.

If we can average 5+ goals per game we should be OK !!

That's a fucking stupid remark.
Are you going to tell us that we're on the march to the top and CL nirvana?

If only this had been apparent we could have fixed the issues in the transfer window.

Oh.

If the plan of scoring more than the opposition was working, no-one would care...
